Introduction
YOU are Hauptmann Entwickler, the famed and devious Dwarven officer of Khâllazdûrin, Pride of the Ausdenkerkorps and the greatest creative mind in all of The Land!
In this tale, a poorly thought-out mystery will unfold. Can YOU guide a sociopathic Dwarven nutcase with a frog on his hat to success and guarantee yourself a happy Christmas… or will your Christmas instead be one of bleak unrelenting failure? YOU decide!
It is the evening of Christmas Eve. You have dismissed your minions and are relaxing in your laboratory thinking about building some kind of festive-themed Bratwurst powered howitzer when your phone rings. Brushing the tinsel off and carefully picking it up using a complicated explosive-packed phone-answering device, you are unsurprised to hear the voice of your boss, Oberst Hauptling, on the other end.
“Entwickler! We have a serious situation down at the Panzar-bar pen. There’s been a murder. Get yourself down there right away and apply your considerable intelligence to sort it out. We have a big offensive on the way, and I don’t want any outstanding nonsense taking up my attention for the new year, and you’re not doing anything useful so you may consider a successful resolution of this to be your present to me. Oh, and Happy Christmas!”
You spring to your feet and reach for your night-vision-frog helm. The game is afoot!
