Variable Equipment Costs Print E-mail

It may well be that you decide to play Dresda as part of a campaign, using defined objectives, a background and a map. If you do, you may well want to consider the fact that equipment for your unit would be more freely available in a big city (and consequently, cheaper) than it would be 'in the back of beyond'. With this in mind, the GM may wish to fix equipment prices at different levels dependent on where the unit is. To keep things simple, we suggest you take the prices given in the body of the rules as the prices in a medium-sized town, halve them for large cities and double them for small towns or villages.

In unpopulated areas, the GM may well wish to make some, if not all, items unavailable, thus forcing units to retire to populated areas if they wish to re-equip, or at least take 'second-choice' weapons.

The above rules were first printed in the original Dresda rulebook in 1996 and they are included here with the kind permission of the authors.
