An Orcs in the Webbe Original ! The warm and well fed house of Ralf Von Puggy is getting ready to tuck into a roasted Dodo, but outside a group of desperate deserters from the Coldscreame Guards are determined to have the meal for themselves in this Flintloque Reloaded scenario for two players.

For those not conversant in Joccian it is a night of celebration, the celebration of the talent of the greatest Joccian poet Ratty Burnes and while some have a time of ease others are hungry and desperate. Michel Borke a well travelled reporter with the Londinium Tymes newspaper raised a glass of Al-Garvey port and as one the other guests in the house of the Ostarian exile Ralf Von Puggy did the same and in one voice agreed with the Orc's statement. Calls for a speech began to come louder and louder from the other dinner guests sat at the grand table until, at the head of the table, the small Ostarian raised his hands and stood to speak.
'Mine friends, zank you for your company diz evening. Unt though ze vind blows outside ve are all warm unt toastie in here jah. I have fur you all a treat, all ze way from der front in der war, eine Dodo birden.'
With a flourish Von Puggy leaned forward and pulled a solid silver lid from the platter on the table, under it was a steaming freshly roasted Dodo with all the proper trimmings. All along the long dining table the guests roared their approval of the choice for main course, it would make for fine eating indeed.
Not more than fifty feet away, but it was a world away in comfort, through the thick glass of Von Puggy's kitchen window two furry faces breathed steam on to the panes. Angus McSwee had once been a proud sergeant in the 2nd Guards the 'Coldscreamers', now he and four others like him were deserters, hunted and on the run. Hiding by day and travelling by night the Ratmen had escaped prison in Edinborgh and were now in Glasgee looking for a way out of Joccia, but they were all hungry and the sight of the roasted Dodo made their mouths water terribly.
'Angus, mibbie we shud git further oon eh?'
Ruddy McDarn tugged at the tattered uniform of his fellow once sergeant. He did not like to be stood so close to lights, even at night, the provosts lurked even on the cobbles of Glasgee. Behind him crouched three other large Ratmen, all in the rags of a Guards uniform, they like Ruddy and Angus had kept their weapons, snatched from the armoury in Edinborgh Castle in the escape. They were all hungry.
'Shush you Ruddy. Mebbies its nay worth the trouble tay ye but I'm fur gitting that burd and haying me belly filt.'
There was a harsh murmur of agreement from the others. It was a foul task indeed but it would have to be done and after all what was robbery atop desertion and killing two Orcish provosts. Each of them could only be hanged once…
Angus stepped back from the glass and spoke.

Map and Set Up:
This game of Flintloque takes place inside the kitchen and the grand dining room of Ralf Von Puggy's house in Glasgee. As such it takes place in a more enclosed environment than usual. The playing area is made up as follows.
A kitchen which is 20cm wide and 15cm deep with two doors, one into the pantry and the other in to the dining room. The doors are each 3cm wide. A broken window (2cm wide) is on the opposite side of the kitchen to the door into the dining room, there is a small table and several chairs plus a large iron oven in the kitchen. The pantry is only 10cm by 6cm wide with the door into the kitchen in the center of one of the 6cm edges. The dining room is 35cm long with a door at either end (one leads to the kitchen the other is locked) and 25cm wide. It has a very long and large table in its centre with eighteen chairs around it, there are also several heavy wooden display cases and side tables around the edge of the dining room. All characters are within this indoor area.
When the scenario begins Von Puggy is at the furthest edge of the main table in the dining room from the kitchen door, the roast Dodo is on the table more than 10cm but less than 20cm from Von Puggy. All of Von Puggy's dinner guests are within 5cm of Von Puggy and each other. The hungry Joccian deserters begin within 3cm of the broken window in the kitchen, though only three of them may by within the kitchen with another entering each turn until they are all inside.
Scenario Objectives:

Drive those housebreaking scum out of the place and protect the roasted bird!
The Joccian Deserters –
Am no kidding, Im puir starving so I am. Grab the roasted Dodo and escape!
Game Length:
The game lasts ten turns at which point a winner is determined.
Victory Conditions:
Victory is gained by Von Puggy and his guests is by the end of the turn limit for the scenario they manage to keep the Roasted Dodo inside the playing area and they have at least one section member alive at games end. The Deserters win if they manage to carry the Roasted Dodo out of the broken kitchen window before the end of the game; this is done by one Rat carrying the Dodo out of the window it may NOT be thrown out of the window.

Scenario Special Rules:
There are few special rules in this scenario, those which there are apply as follows.
The Roasted Dodo. This poor cooked creature is the object of everyone's attentions in the game. It takes one action to pick it up and while carrying it a character cannot run. The bird can be wrestled from an enemy by winning a round of melee. The bird can be thrown, roll to hit like a standard grenade, it has an impact of 1cm square and all caught under it suffer 1 wound automatically.
Scenic Elements. The tables and so on in the rooms can be used as light cover, they all have one wound and are destroyed by a successful round of melee or impact from a firearm's shot.
Failed Morale Tests. If a member of Von Puggy's party fails a morale test and routs they simply freeze on the spot and can do nothing but defend themselves in melee for two Turns before returning to normal. All rout morale results for the Deserters mean a dash for the broken window and escape. Any characters who exit the window are out of play for the rest of the game.
Scenario Notes
This special Flintloque scenario was written exclusively for the Orcs in the Webbe OITW website by Gavin Syme creative manager of Alternative Armies and head of the World of Valon and Flintloque since 2003. This is a bit of fun that is removed from the Mordredian Wars and set in the cobbled streets of Glasgee. Its based loosely on the superb poem by Robert Burns 'Address to a Haggis', while we may not have Haggis we do have Dodo's. Celebrate the works of the poet that is Robert Burns, favoured son of Ayrshire…Ayr…which is just up the road from Girvan home of Alternative Armies!
This scenario was written with Alternative Armies third Very Limited Edition Miniature, Ralf Von Puggy with Roast Dodo, in mind but if you are not lucky enough to own one (as they have now sold out) you can easily use proxies. The rest of the dinner guests could be 54502 Orc Reporter, 51507 Elf Officer and 56586 Trolka Civilian. For the Joccian Rat deserters use codes 56121 and 56122 Coldscreame Guards.
