A demonstration outside the fair offices of this voice of free speech ended in violence yesterday.
Fools who know nothing recently accused the Illustrated Londinium Tymes of "voicing out-of-date opinions" and of "inaccurate and biased reporting." Waving placards bearing slogans such as "Chauvanist Pigs" and "Illustrated Londinium Lies", a group of ladies and children shouted and jeered this journal's editor.
We at the Tymes realise that people are entitled to their opinion, and at first ignored this peaceful protest. However, the situation deteriorated into scenes of ugly violence when a pie was thrown at a staff writer. Only a Cavalry charge by the local militia saved the tireless journalists from the madding crowd.
